Themepark: Cambodian Cultural Village, Siem Reap

Angkor archaeological sites are the main tourist attractions in Seim Reap Cambodia, but aside from that there are other places in Siem Reap that is worth visiting too. One of these is the Cambodian Cultural Village.

Cambodian Cultural Village is a themepark constructed in 2001 that contained the country’s mini replica of its famous buildings, a wax and historical museum depicting its people and its culture, and the different local ethnic villages found throughout the country.

Themepark: Mini Siam, Pattaya

If you happen to visit Pattaya in Thailand, one of the city’s attraction that you may include in your itinerary is this outdoor themepark named Mini Siam. Located along Sukhumvit Road north of Pattaya, it contains replica of  the world’s and Thailand’s famous landmarks and monuments.

Built in 1985, the park has shown its age but still some of the structures are in good condition and the whole area is aptly maintained. Because there are a lot of them, the structures can be viewed in group for you not to miss any one of the structures. There are a lot of these famous landmarks in miniature and it would be quite tiring and time consuming if you view it up-close one at a time.

Universal Studios Singapore : Waterworld

The first time I went to Universal Studios Singapore, I was not able to explore the Waterworld area since it was close to the public. During that time the main entrance gate was closed and only a small close signage hanging on the wall with no written notification why if was closed. So I told myself then that I have to come back to check the attraction since I heard that it is one of the shows not to be miss when in Universal Studios. And that is exactly what I did when I come back to Universal Studios Singapore, it was the Waterworld area that I have check in first.

Haw Par Villa

Its been months that I have been eyeing to check out Haw Par Villa but since it is located in a place I am not familiar with, I did not take it seriously. Now that the new mrt circle line  had opened and one of the stations is at the theme park doorstep I went there  during the hari raya haji holiday. Feedback has it that the place is empty most of the days, but the day I was there its quite a bit crowded, maybe because it was holiday.

Exploring Universal Studios Singapore

A friend from the Philippines visited me here in Singapore so I finally got the chance to explore the Universal Studios for the first time and maybe my last for now unless someone invited me for free. And why is that? I believe that to me as an adult the 72 sing dollars is over-charged because most of the exciting rides and attractions were either closed or under maintenance that day.  But it would be different experience for kids and young at hearts which the theme park is for them anyway.
